Best of Both Worlds

RCAH students live, take classes, and study with others who have similar interests, yet still have the opportunity to experience the diversity and resources of a major university. The low student to faculty ratio enables students to get to know their professors while focussing on individualized projects that reflect their interests.

The RCAH is located in the renovated Snyder-Phillips Halls, one of the historic residence halls at Michigan State University. The facility, located on campus near other residence halls and academic buildings, has been updated to include:

  • A newly crafted dining room
  • A wireless coffee house
  • New classrooms and faculty offices
  • A multipurpose teaching and performance room
  • An art studio
  • Music practice rooms
  • A language-proficiency center
  • And a gallery for visiting artist and student work

RCAH students live within the college to take advantage of the full residential experience. Students in a living-learning program form strong friendships with other students, and get to know faculty and staff on an individual level. Some classes are taught right in the residence hall.
