Book Arts workshop with Kaleta Doolin and Alan Govenar

At 7 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2013, join book artists Kaleta Doolin and Alan Govenar for a fun and creative evening of bookmaking. In this three-hour workshop you’ll explore the possibilities with book arts. At the end of the workshop, participants will walk away with their own handmade book filled with found text, poetry, and images. The workshop is free and limited to the first twelve students to sign up. Please register by emailing your name to Guillermo Delgado by Sunday, October 13.

About the book artists:

Kaleta Doolin and Alan Govenar have been making artist books for more than 15 years, and their work is represented in numerous public collections, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris; San Francisco Museum of Modern of Art, and Victoria and Albert Museum, London.

Govenar is co-curator of Extraordinary Ordinary People: American Masters of Traditional Arts, an exhibit at the MSU Museum September 3 through December 20.
