Pop-Up Stories: From the Front Lines

November 10, 2017 - 6:30pm - 8:00pm
WKAR - Public Media from Michigan State University
404 Wilson Rd
East Lansing, MI 48823
United States

Join RCAH, WKAR, and the Lansing State Journal for the final event in the Vietnam series: a special edition of Pop-Up Stories to honor our veterans. Hear personal stories from veterans who have experienced war firsthand, and those that are still feeling the effects to this day. The theme is "stories from the front lines," and any veteran is welcome to tell a personal story.

Stories should be around 5 minutes long and should be true, firsthand accounts. They will be recorded for possible use on the air, with permission, and should be family and FCC friendly.

The evening will be hosted by WKAR News Morning Edition Host Brooke Allen.

If you aren't a veteran with a story to share, please come enjoy yourself as an audience member. If you want to sign up to tell a story, or request additional information or assistance for persons with disabilities, please email Katie Cook at kcook@wkar.org.

This special edition of Pop-Up Stories is in partnership with the Lansing State Journal. Pop-Up Stories is free to the public, and is a collaboration between WKAR - Public Media from Michigan State UniversityMSU Residential College in the Arts and Humanities, and community partners.
