RCAH 192 Final Performance

December 9, 2014 - 3:30pm - 5:00pm
RCAH Theater
362 Bogue Street, Snyder-Phillips Hall, Terrace Level
East Lansing, MI 48825
United States

Join Lisa Biggs and her RCAH 192 students in the RCAH Theater on Tuesday, December 9 at 3:30 p.m. for an afternoon of original theatre, storytelling, poetry and much more.

Human beings use performances ranging from the artistic to the cultural to the everyday. Performance practices constitute our daily reality, shape and animate the contours of our society, and imbue our lives with meaning. As one of the founders of Performance Studies, Richard Schechner, noted, everything is not a performance, but just about everything can be read as performance – weddings, politics, gender, even the simplest act of brushing your teeth. This culminating performance for RCAH 192 (Section 002) is an opportunity for students who have investigated the relationship between performance works, performance events and the performance of everyday life to share with a broader public their discoveries thus far.

Light refreshments will be provided.
