Wednesday Night Live: Alumni Panel

At 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, the community is invited to attend the annual RCAH Alumni Panel, the third event in the 2017-18 Wednesday Night Live series.

This year's alumni panelists include:

Community Impact Coordinator at Saginaw-Shiawassee Habitat for Humanity in Saginaw, Michigan
Alyssa graduated in the first full class of RCAH in 2011. After graduation she completed a term in AmeriCorps NCCC, then earned her Master of Arts in Museology from the University of Washington in Seattle. She currently holds the position of Community Impact Coordinator at Saginaw-Shiawassee Habitat for Humanity.

Sign Language Interpreter in mid-Michigan
Ariel Oppenheim (RCAH 2012) is a Sign Language Interpreter working in a mid-Michigan public school program. Since graduation, she has interpreted in mainstream classrooms ranging from preschool to 12th grade. For the RCAH, Ariel chose the Childhood and Society pathway, which led to a minor in Educational Studies. While at MSU, she also completed the Interpreter Training Program at Lansing Community College. Ariel is a proud alum of the MSU Waterski Team. 

Graduate Assistant in Marketing and Communications at WDET in Detroit, Michigan 
Gus served as a corps member in City Year Detroit where he taught at a public high school on the east side of Detroit. After CYD, he taught English in Bahia, Brasil. Currently, he’s in his second year of graduate school at Wayne State in Detroit. He works in the communication school as a graduate assistant in the marketing and communication department and working at WDET, Detroit’s public radio station.
