September 30, 2015 - 7:00pm - 8:30pm
RCAH Theater
362 Bogue Street, Snyder-Phillips Hall, Terrace Level
East Lansing, MI
United States

At 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, RCAH students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to join the RCAH in welcoming The LoonCast for our first Wednesday Night Live of 2015-16 and the alumni showcase event, featuring recent RCAH grads Shira Kresch, Ben Thorp, and Evan Mikalonis, and College of Arts & Letters alumnus Phillip Russell.

What is the role of storytelling in our lives and why is it important? What kinds of stories do we tell? What compels us to look for stories and to continue telling them? The LoonCast will explore these fundamental questions, then record stories from RCAH students based on the prompt, "Tell us about an experience that changed you in a way that was hard to make sense of or believe, but still felt substantial."

About The LoonCast:

We are story-seeking podcasters embarking on a journey across the USA. We are conversation starters, listeners, writers, storytellers, artists. We are The LoonCast. And we have questions.

What is the role of belief in our society? Why do we hold onto ideas about the supernatural despite all the evidence that suggests otherwise? Informed by the cultural landscape of America, this podcast series will explore and confront our relationship with death and the culture surrounding it through interviews, introspection, and roadtrip storytelling.
