Wednesday Night Live: Sacramento Knoxx & Ozay Moore

At 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, RCAH students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to join the RCAH in welcoming Sacramento Knoxx and Ozay Moore to Wednesday Night Live in the RCAH Theater.

Ozay Moore will perform, Knoxx will screen and discuss his film, and both guests will share their experiences about working as artists and educators. A Q&A will follow.

As an international artist, Sacramento Knoxx is based in music, film, design, and community organizing as he performs across the world and facilitates educational workshops, and interactive performances that are raw, innovative, eclectic styles of creative expression and critical thought. Knoxx delivers a participatory educational environment that is entertaining with film, hip hop, and culture, while addressing issues of environmental, and social justice as well as cultural identity and storytelling.

Ozay Moore is a hip hop artist born in Seattle who now resides in Lansing, Michigan, and serves as a community leader, educator and director of All of the Above Creative. He released his first internationally distributed album on Syntax Records in 2000 as part of the group Lojique. Later he formed the group Lightheaded with his friends Braille and Ohmega Watts and released several records. He has shared the stage with People Under the Stairs, Binary Star, Slick Rick, DeLa Soul, Prince Po (Organized Konfusion), Ludacris, Freeway, Propaganda among others.
