Sister Circle

RCAH Sister Circle Mentoring Program is an inclusive initiative that supports the holistic development of systematically challenged undergraduate students through culturally responsive programming attentive to the participants’ academic, social, personal and professional needs. The program’s ultimate goal is to address and improve the retention and matriculation rate of students whose lived experiences may include epistemic challenges. Sister Circle helps students build peer relationships along with mentorships through events ranging from informal get-togethers that help build social relationships and a sense of community, to semi-structured study sessions, to more formal workshops featuring invited artists, writers, and other community leaders. Ultimately, Sister Circle’s comprehensive research-supported initiatives enhance inclusive excellence, well-being, and belonging.
