에즈기 울루소이는 커뮤니케이션 학과 박사과정 학생이다. 대학교는 터키에서 미국 문화 및 문학 학과로 했고 공부하면서 다양한 사람들에게 터키어를 가르쳤다. 대학교 다녔을 때 한 학기 동안 이탈리아로 유학 갔고 다른 나라 사람들과 소통하며 시간을 보낼 수 있게 되었다. 그다음에는 대한민국으로 이사했고 한국어를 배우며 석사 학위를 받았다. 석사과정 전공은 커뮤니케이션과 미디어 이였다. 한국에 있었을 때 한국 분들에게 영어랑 터키어를 가르칠 기회가 있었다. 언어와 문화를 가르치는 것은 얼마나 즐거워도 에즈기의 주의 관심은 미디어와 미디어 영행에 대한 부분이였다. 요즘은 에즈기는 사회의 및 개인 동기는 미디어 선택에 영향과  이 선택들은 사람들 삶에 비치는 영향에 대해 공부를 하고 있다.

Biography (English)

Ezgi Ulusoy is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Communication. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in American Culture and Literature at Bilkent University in Turkey. In Turkey, she taught English to people from various age groups. Then, she did a study abroad in Torino, Italy. There, she got the opportunity to study alongside people from different cultural backgrounds. At that time, she became sure that learning other languages and cultures is what she enjoys the most. Upon graduating, she moved to South Korea to learn Korean and finished her master’s degree at Ewha Womans University in Communication and Media. During her years in Korea, she taught English and Turkish to Korean people. While she enjoyed teaching her language and culture to others, her main interest lies in entertainment media and its effect on people. Currently, Ezgi is interested in the effect of social and individual motivations on media selection and the effect of these selections on the everyday life of people.
