It has been sixty years since the publication of Things Fall Apart, perhaps the most widely read piece of African literature. Things Fall Apart and its author, Chinua Achebe, have been important for bringing visibility to Africa’s writers in the twentieth century. In celebration of this anniversary — and MSU’s Year of Global Africa — this exhibition curated by Jessica Achberger, African Studies Librarian and Adjunct Assistant Professor of History at MSU, explores the book’s impact through sixty years of book covers. Curated by Jessica Achberger.
