The Grit, Glam, and Guts mission is to connect and engage girls ages 12-17 to local youth social development programs, civic engagement activities, and educational opportunities to promote social change, eliminate barriers to success, maximize potential, empower girls to gain higher self-awareness, develop a healthy self-identity, and also recognize and engage in the power of their voice. Grit, Glam, and Guts hosts a one-day conference in Lansing, Flint, and Detroit each summer. These conferences touch the lives of hundreds of young women across the region and throughout the state through interactive workshops, in-depth honest discussions, and practical teaching. We know that it takes Grit, Glam, and Guts for any woman to make it in today’s society. Grit represents the necessary hard work to reach her goals. Glam is the beauty of wisdom and compassion that’s birthed from experience. Guts are the passion in our hearts to push us to our purpose.
