Alumni Expert Workshop: Resume Tips and Critiques with Alexis Stark ’18

Tue, March 10, 2020 7:00 PM at Language and Media Center

Join us for an Alumni Expert Workshop where alumna Alexis Stark ’18 will lead a session focusing on writing your best resume and other adulting skills. Alexis is a copywriter for COM 616, a Grand Rapids-based PR firm.

With experience in many different realms of writing, Alexis is a storyteller, determined to spark social change, one Oxford comma at a time. She graduated from the Residential College in the Arts and Humanities at Michigan State University, with a minor in LGBTQ & Gender Studies, where she self-published a children's book and developed a love for reading and writing poetry, along with a passion for social advocacy. Previously, Alexis wrote for The State News and the Ann Arbor News, focusing on stories about education, community and prison arts and poetry, before relocating to the Grand Rapids area. When she’s not writing or editing professionally, Alexis can be found at the zoo, the beach, hanging out with dogs, or sitting in a pile of books she owns, but could not possibly read in her lifetime.
