ONLINE: Redlining, I-496 and the African-American Community

RCAH Professor John Aerni-Flessner will take to Zoom to tell the stories of Lansing homeowners affected by “urban renewal” and the process of redlining in Lansing, focusing on the construction of Interstate 496 from 1963-1970. This talk comes out of the work Aerni-Flessner has done in collaboration with his RCAH students in class, and is part of a series offered by University Outreach and Engagement.
