In this presentation, Ashee Chesny, author, literacy advocate, and founder of Genius Patch, will discuss the amazing legacy of the iconic Zora Neale Hurston and explore Hurston’s life, her impact on literacy, and the often-overlooked details of her life story. Additionally, Chesny will share the impact that Hurston has had on her own career as a writer, the ways the renowned author has influenced her most and the impact she hopes to have on the advancement of black culture with her books and programming.
