Learn the latest arts and humanities methods in community engaged research and complete publishable research. Gain at least conversational fluency in Spanish. Get the latest on sustainability theory and see it in action in Latin America. Travel to one of the most beautiful places on Earth. The RCAH community-engaged research semester in Costa Rica: Engagement and Sustainability is back! Participating in this program feels like this: https://youtu.be/OINl5uw5Tgc.
The program will run May 9, 2022, through July 29, 2022. Scholarships are available and the program is among the lowest cost semester program at the university. RCAH and other MSU students can earn eight to nine credits of Spanish, four credits of RCAH203 Transculturation through the Ages (or an equivalent) and four credits of RCAH325 Community Engagement Methods (or an equivalent) – a total of up to 17 credits in less than three months.
Looking for something else in Costa Rica? Consider our one-week Community Engaged Design in Costa Rica program, which runs just about every winter and spring break. It’s attached to a semester length RCAH203 Transculturation through the Ages: Designing for Peace. It looked like this on the ground this past spring: https://youtu.be/qWP2SNA30Ys.
Want to know more about these and other opportunities in the RCAH Program on Sustainability in Costa Rica? Stop by the RCAH Conference Room, C210 Snyder Hall, Wednesday, October 6, 2021, 5-6:30 pm and meet in person with program Director Vincent Delgado (delgado1@msu.edu).
