Matthew Dae Smith is an award-winning photojournalist and documentary photographer based in Lansing, Michigan. Since 2016 he's worked as a senior staff photographer and videographer for the Lansing State Journal and USA Today Network covering daily news. Since the early nineties, he worked full-time as a freelance photographer throughout the country shooting fine art, editorial, commercial, and documentary photography. His work has been published both nationally and internationally by the USA Today, the Associated Press, the New York Times, Washington Post, Time, and The Guardian.
