Documentary photographer Alexandra Huddleston visited the RCAH in 2008  to share her experience of the year she spent in Timbuktu studying the city's Islamic traditions.  An exhibition of her work in the LookOut! Gallery was part of a year-long series of events co-sponsored by the RCAH called "Mali in Michigan: Art, Religion, and Politics in the 21st Century."
