Coya Paz

Coya Paz, an artist in residence at the RCAH in the fall of 2009, is co-founder of the internationally acclaimed Teatro Luna, Chicago’s first and only all-Latina performance group. She is also a co-founder of Proyecto Latina and the director in residence for the Poetry Performance Incubator at the Guild Complex. A director, playwright, performer, and scholar, Paz is currently working with Free Street Theatre as the Resident Ensemble Director. She is an Assistant Professor in The Theatre School at DePaul University, and holds a PhD in Performance Studies at Northwestern University.
