The Distinguished Academic Staff Award recognizes the outstanding achievements of MSU’s Academic Specialists and Staff who serve the university in advising, curriculum development, outreach, extension, research, and teaching.  Eligibility for nomination requires a minimum of 10 years of continuous MSU employment as an academic specialist or an MSU Extension academic staff member.

“Professor Delgado is a dedicated teacher who embodies the mission and vision of RCAH that is rooted in the public engaged humanities,” said RCAH Interim Dean Glenn Chambers. “He always puts his students first and has a way of mentoring students that always brings the best out of them. He is truly one of the great ambassadors for who we are as a college.”

In addition to Delgado, three others received Distinguished Academic Specialist Awards: Samantha Cass, Lyman Briggs College, Chemistry; Andrew Corner, College of Communication Arts and Sciences, Advertising and Public Relations; and Philip Kaatz, MSU Extension, Institute of Agriculture and Agribusiness.
