January 10, 2020
Beginning January 16, 2020, The RCAH LookOut Gallery presents “Universal Archive,” featuring works by the renowned South African artist William Kentridge. This is a touring exhibition of new work inspired during the writing of his North Lectures delivered at Harvard in 2012. In an expanding series of linocuts printed on dictionary pages, Kentridge explores the arbitrariness of the definitions and borders imposed by reason and colonial oppression.
