RCAH Senior Rodriguez Nominated for Marshall Scholarship

Abigail Rodriguez is a Political Science Pre-Law major in the College of Social Science who is double majoring in Art and Humanities in the Residential College in the Arts and Humanities, minoring in Chicano/Latino Studies and is a member of the Honors College.   
 
She is also one of six undergraduates and two alumni nominated for the prestigious Marshall Scholarship by Michigan State University. 
 
The Marshall Scholarship provides support to approximately 50 of the most outstanding undergraduates in the country to study at any university in the United Kingdom. MSU has produced 20 Marshall Scholars to date.  

 
Rodriguez is a graduate of Santa Teresa High School in Sunland Park, New Mexico.  
 
"I spent the past academic year working on two research projects, one focused on the mental health of undocumented Latinx immigrants with Dr. Clifford Broman and the other project focused on the effects of COVID-19 on migrant farm workers with Dr. Amanda Flores. After graduation, I plan on attending law school and becoming a civil rights attorney focusing on Latinx and immigrant rights," Rodriguez said.
