Elective Pathway Requirement (9 credits):
◊ Complete at least 9 credits outside of RCAH at the 3/400 level
Experiential Learning Requirement:
Completion of minimum 50-hour volunteer or paid experiential learning opportunity. This requirement can be satisfied with ONE of the following options in the junior or senior year:
◊ An approved internship
◊ RCAH 391 (1-4 credits): An approved undergraduate research, creative, or community engagement project directed by a faculty member (excludes ROOT Scholars Seminar)
◊ An approved study abroad/study away with at least one course at the 3/400 level
Language and Culture Requirement:
Students can satisfy the language and cultural studies requirement by completing one of the following two options:
◊ Participate in an approved language-intensive study abroad + RCAH 235
◊ Complete an approved combination of language and cultural studies courses*:
- Complete 2 years of language courses + 1 additional cultural course + RCAH 235
- Complete 1 year of language courses + 3 additional cultural courses + RCAH 235
- Complete a minor in an approved area studies program + RCAH 235
*Students work with the Director of Student Success and Advising to review the list of minors and approved cultural courses.
Additional University Requirements (19-22 credits):
◊ ISS 2**: Integrative Studies in the Social Sciences (4 credits)
◊ ISS 3**: Integrative Studies in the Social Sciences (4 credits)
◊ ISB 2**: Integrative Studies in the Biological Sciences (3 credits)
◊ ISP 2**: Integrative Studies in the Physical Sciences (3 credits)
◊ ISB or ISP lab: Integrative Sciences Lab (2 credits)
◊ University Math (based on placement score)
Other Requirements:
◊ Minimum of 120 total credits
◊ Overall GPA of 2.0 or higher
◊ Minimum of 30 credits at the 3/400 level
